Mufti Tayyibah Afzal

Mufti Tayyibah graduated in 2003-2004 from the Alim course (the BA equivalent of Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence) with distinction from Madrassah JTI Clayton, Bradford. Following graduation, she taught at JTI and then later at the JKN Institute in Bradford.

In 2015, after 2 and a half years of study, she graduated from JKN institute (post graduate Takhassus fil Fiqh wal Iftaa course) with distinction and became the first female in UK to qualify as a Mufti (Jurisprudence scholar)

Thereafter, in 2011, Mufti Sahebah founded and taught the Alim course for females for the first time in the Burnley and Pendle regions and co-established the Madina Dawah Academy.

Mufti Tayyibah has served as a faith advisor at the University of Huddersfield and as a police officer in Bradford. She is a registered examiner at Cambridge University and provides expert witness testimony for court regarding Islamic juristic rulings.

Currently, Mufti Sahebah is a senior Hadith and Seerah lecturer at MDA, as well as specializing in Fatwa Q&A services.
